His performances in Spain impressed Sociedad, who swooped in and secured a permanent deal for Kubo in the summer of 2022.
The 24-year-old, who has scored 23 goals in 137 matches across all competitions for the club, has a release clause of €60 million (£52 million) in his contract
And Real retain a 50 per cent of the player's rights and would thus receive a cool €30 million (£26 million) if the deal goes through which would be a massive boost for their finances.
