A Real Madrid icon has become the first man to address a training ground altercation between Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni.
Valverde received medical attention on Thursday following an incident with Madrid teammate Tchouameni.
Things between the two became 'serious' after a heated row the previous day. Valverde fell to the floor and cut his head on a table during their confrontation, although Tchouameni did not cause the injury.
The Uruguay international suffered cranioencephalic trauma, a brain injury that takes up to two weeks to recover from.

Valverde released a statement on Thursday evening, confirming an altercation had taken place, but denied he and his fellow midfielder 'beat each other up'.
He also suggested there was someone in a rush to 'leak' the story and further destabilise a Los Blancos side facing their first trophyless season in half a decade.
Everyone inside the club has kept quiet on the drama in public, but legends are starting to voice their opinion.
Luis Figo's opinion on the Valverde and Tchouameni controversy
Luis Figo, the original Galactico who played for Madrid between 2000-2005, attended an event in Barcelona ahead of this weekend's El Clasico and was asked about the Valverde and Tchouameni argument.
Figo didn't sound completely surprised, even admitting he saw similar situations occur during his playing career.
He explained: "Real Madrid has issued a statement; I'm not part of the club. I think that, theoretically, what happened can't be considered normal because it shouldn't happen in a team environment.
"It won't be the last time, nor the first, that something like this has happened. I think these situations can occur in a locker room because in that situation, frustration and the heat of the moment often lead you to have an abnormal attitude, but it won't be the last time in a football locker room.
"Logically, it shouldn't happen. I've experienced it, that's why I say it won't be the last time, nor the first, and managing thirty people isn't easy, and you do things you shouldn't."

How do Real Madrid plan to fix this?
Madrid started the campaign with Xabi Alonso in charge, although he left in January after failing to get through to his players.
Alvaro Arbeloa was then promoted from Real Madrid Castilla and, despite beating Manchester City in the Champions League, he's failed to impress.
Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, believes a manager with authority needs to come in and control a squad bursting at the seams with egos.
Jose Mourinho has been tipped to return for a second spell in charge. He's currently manager of Benfica, although a move from Portugal to Spain wouldn't be difficult to organise.
