Real Madrid are reportedly considering making a move for another Liverpool star amid links with several of Arne Slot's top players.

Since joining Liverpool as the replacement for legendary manager Jurgen Klopp, Slot has enjoyed a fantastic start to the 2024/25 season, losing just one match in all competitions.

One of the most impressive wins under the Dutch manager was undoubtedly the dominant performance during the 2-0 victory over European giants Real Madrid at Anfield last month.

And in the wake of the match, the Spanish side have reportedly set another Liverpool player as one of their top transfer targets after already exploring deals for several others at the Premier League club.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the La Liga champions are interested in signing Hungarian midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai after he has continued to impress under the new Liverpool boss.

Szoboszlai, who is just 24-years-old, joined the Reds in the summer of 2023 from Bundesliga club Red Bull Leipzig for a reported fee of €70million (£58m).

In this time, he has already established himself as a key part of Liverpool's midfielder, particularly under Slot who has started him in the past three matches.

In total, the Hungarian captain has made 22 appearances for Liverpool this season, scoring two goals and assisting another three.

However, should Real Madrid hope to lure Szoboszlai away from Anfield, they will likely have to pay a big price for it, with reports suggesting that a deal could cost them as much as €100m (£83m).

Therefore, Szoboszlai isn't the only Liverpool midfielder that Real Madrid are reportedly interested in, as a report earlier this month claimed that the La Liga side were exploring a deal for Ryan Gravenberch.

Under Slot, the Dutch midfielder appears to have completely turned his career around and has established himself as one of the best players in the Liverpool squad this season.

For this reason, Madrid are prepared to offer a a swap deal involving French international Aurelien Tchouameni, who has been linked with a move to Anfield on several occasions in recent years.

Currently Tchouameni is contracted until 2028 and is valued at £90m whereas Gravenberch, is thought to be valued around £33m.
