Jude Bellingham has addressed reports that he had a bad relationship with Xabi Alonso in a harsh statement calling out the media.
Following Real Madrid's loss to historic rivals Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final, held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the club confirmed that they had parted ways with Alonso.
The Spaniard was in charge of his former club for just seven months and was faced considerable pressure throughout his time as manager.
Since the news broke, several reports have emerged detailing what went on behind-the-scenes during Alonso's tenure, with some outlets claiming that he had a strained relationship with star player Bellingham.

Now that Alonso has left Real Madrid, the England star has decided to speak out and address the rumours, and he's not happy.

It's well known that while he was Real Madrid manager, Alonso had a quite public fallout with Vinicius Jr, who is yet to speak out since the Spanish manager's departure.
But Bellingham has hit back at reports claiming that his relationship with his former boss was similar, calling media outlets that had claimed he and Alonso were on bad terms are 'clowns'.

Posting on his JB5 app, Bellingham wrote: “Until now I've let far too many of these slide, always hoping the truth will come to light in its own time.
"But honestly... What a load of sh*t.
"Truly feel sorry for the people that hang onto the every word of these clowns and their 'sources'.
"Do not believe everything you read, every now and then these lot need to be held accountable for spreading this kind of damaging misinformation for clicks and added controversy.”

Alongside the post, Bellingham shared a screenshot from X account TheMadridZone that included information from a report written for The Athletic by Mario Cortegana.

How did the rest of the dressing room feel about Alonso?
It's clear that there were some players in the Real Madrid dressing room that were not happy during Alonso's time at the club.

During the La Liga win over Barcelona back in October, Vinicius Jr was visibly angry with his manager when he was subbed off, storming down the tunnel while reportedly shouting "Always me" while threatening to leave the club.
The Brazilian later released an apology to the club and his team-mates but notably made no mention of Alonso.
Alonso also created drama with star striker Kylian Mbappe following the Super Cup loss to Barcelona as he instructed his players to give their rivals a guard of honour, something that the Frenchman undermined by waving his teammates away.
However, several reports throughout Alonso's time at Real Madrid confirmed that Mbappe was a fan of the 44-year-old, something that appears to have been backed up by the fact he was the first to wish Alonso well after his departute.

Sharing a photo of the pair embracing on his Instagram story, Mbappe wrote: "It’s been short but it was a pleasure to play for you and learn from you. Thank you for giving me the confidence since Day 1.
"I will remember you as a manager who had clear ideas and knows many things about football. Best of luck for your next chapter."
