
Barcelona are prepared to terminate the contract of a forgotten player in order to register Marcus Rashford in Spain.
The 27-year-old England international completed his move from Manchester United to the Catalan giants last week.
Rashford joins on a season-long loan, while Barcelona have the option to make the deal permanent next summer for around £26m.
Rashford made his first appearance for Barcelona in a friendly against Japanese side Vissel Kobe over the weekend.

He came on at at half-time and played 33 minutes, registering one shot on target.
However, Rashford may have to wait longer to make his competitive debut due to Barcelona's ongoing financial struggles.
The Spanish champions are said to be over the La Liga salary limit, having spent more on transfer fees and wages than they made in revenue last season.
While BBC Sport's Simon Stone claimed that Rashford's camp remain confident that Barcelona will find room for him, the club have not yet resolved the situation.

Barcelona are expected to bring in around £100m from the sale of VIP seats at the newly redeveloped Nou Camp.
Both Ansu Fati and Clement Lenglet have already left the club, but more departures are thought to be necessary.

Mundo Deportivo report that the club have informed him that he will have to continue his career away from Barcelona, and that they will now negotiate to terminate the final year of his contract.
The 33-year-old spent last season on loan at Girona, who opted against activating the buy option in his contract.

He can also play in the Joan Gamper trophy, which is an annual friendly match played against a top European side in honour of the club's founder.
This year they will face Italian side Como, who are managed by former Arsenal and Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas.
Barcelona's La Liga campaign gets underway on 16 August against Mallorca.

All three of their opening fixtures are away games, as the club aim to complete renovations at the Nou Camp before their first home match on 14 September against Valencia.
But before Rashford is able to feature in competitive games for his new club, he will need be registered.
