Barcelona fans have made their feelings towards new signing Marcus Rahford known with a gesture just seconds before his La Liga debut.
On Saturday evening, Barcelona began the defence of their La Liga title with an away trip to face RCD Mallorca at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix.
Despite fears that he would not be registered in time for the match, new signing Rashford was included in the squad for the game following his season-long loan move from Manchester United.
Although many would have expected him to have been a part of the starting lineup for the match, the England international was initially named on the bench.

However, as he came onto the pitch to make his debut in Spain's top division, one Barcelona fan held up a sign that summed up exactly how supporters feel about their new signing.

After his public fallout with Amorim shortly after the manager's arrival at United back in November, it was clear that Rashford's was going to leave the club this summer.
Following links with several clubs across Europe, the 27-year-old instead secured a dream move to Barcelona last month.

And it appears that Barcelona fans are excited about the forward joining them, as when he came onto the pitch to replace Ferran Torres in the 69th minute, one young fan was seen holding up a copy of Rashford's book, titled: "You Are a Champion: How to Be the Best You Can Be."
Unfortunately for Rashford and his fans, the United star was not able to get onto the scoresheet of the 3-0 win, but he will no doubt be happy that his side were able to come away with a win in his first La Liga match.

Marcus Rashford speaks out about his time at Barcelona

Speaking about his experience getting to play with the likes of 22-year-old midfielder Pedri and Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal, he said on The Rest is Football podcast: "Honestly it's so refreshing to be playing with them,
"Every day they're full of energy and it keeps you having energy as well.
"They're all really talented but the thing that surprised me the most is how mature they all are on the pitch. They play the game at their own tempo.
