Lamine Yamal has reportedly ‘personally endorsed’ a player who is linked with a potential transfer to Barcelona.
Yamal, 17, has been one of many shining lights in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona side this season and is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about players in world football.
With a supporting cast of Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski, and Pedri, the Spanish international could become a two-time La Liga winner this evening if Barca beat city rivals Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium.

Yamal has already secured the Copa del Rey and Supercopa de España this term, and agonisingly missed out in the Champions League semi-finals as Barca fell to a 7-6 aggregate defeat against Inter, who set up a final clash against PSG.
And despite the 2024/25 campaign being a hugely successful season for Flick’s side, the German boss will likely look to bolster his options come this summer - although reports suggest that up to eight players could leave to balance the books from a financial standpoint.
One player linked with a potential move to Barcelona is Manchester United forward – currently on loan at Aston Villa – Marcus Rashford, who has seen an upturn in his form since joining Unai Emery’s side in the winter transfer window.

Last Sunday (May 11), Rashford even commented “Young King” on Yamal’s Instagram post following Barca’s 4-3 win against Real Madrid.

A report from Spanish outlet El Nacional claims that Rashford, 27, is a “priority” for Barca this summer.
The outlet explains how “the player's entourage has expressed direct interest in playing at Camp Nou, even in the form of a loan with an option to buy. It's a solution Barça is considering, as it wouldn't involve a large immediate expense and would allow them to assess his performance over a season before making a permanent purchase. The club knows that an outright transfer is not financially feasible, but a loan could be feasible if United accepts”.

The report also states that "the deal also has a strong internal endorsement: Lamine Yamal .The young Barça talent was informally asked by the coaching staff how he would view Rashford's arrival, and his response was clear: he loves the idea".
