How Kylian Mbappe 'could make a stunning FREE transfer move to Real Madrid,' despite signing new PSG deal

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe could make a blockbuster free move to Real Madrid thanks to a unique clause in his contract, according to reports in Spain.

Mbappe has been heavily linked with Los Blancos in recent seasons and a move to the Spanish capital seemed to be on the cards last summer.

The 24-year-old French forward would have been out of contract at the end of last season and could have completed a sensational free transfer to Madrid.

However, Mbappe stunned the world after committing to a new deal with PSG, with the 2018 World Cup winner now under contract until June 2025.

Despite agreeing to fresh terms with PSG in 2022, the France international has continued to attract interest from La Liga side Madrid.

Madrid president Florentino Perez is believed to be an admirer of Mbappe and the PSG star could still make a move to the defending Spanish champions.

According to Spanish newspaper Sport (via The Athletic), Mbappe has a clause in his current PSG deal that allows him to terminate his contract before 2025.

The former Monaco man could take the decision to ‘unilaterally terminate’ his PSG deal and sign for Madrid on a free transfer in 2024.

Mbappe initially signed for PSG on loan in 2017 from Monaco before the defending Ligue 1 champions made the deal permanent for a hefty £165.7m fee.

The Madrid target has refused to rule out a move away from the French capital in the future and hinted that Los Blancos “seems like it’s my home.”

Speaking to The New York Times in 2022, Mbappe said: “You never know what is going to happen.

“I’ve never been there but it seems like it’s my home or something.”
