Kylian Mbappe refused to do a photo shoot for the France national team on Monday, as an argument over image rights continues to rage on.

World Cup winner Mbappe has been criticised for his behaviour several times this season already, just months after signing a new deal at PSG.

He was expected to move to Real Madrid before signing that new deal, which reportedly gave him powers in how the club was being run.

This season he's had run ins with Neymar and Achraf Hakimi, whilst Lionel Messi didn't look too pleased with his fellow forward bumping into him.

With it being international week, the 23-year-old can forget about all that nonsense at his club and instead concentrate on preparing for the World Cup in November.

Even things with France aren't great, with the forward somehow finding himself wrapped up in a blackmail scandal involving Paul Pogba and his brother.

And now, according to L'Equipe, the former Monaco forward has refused to join in a photoshoot with the national team, over an argument over image rights.

The report does state that this isn't an issue about money, or greed, but more to do with control over what his image is used for and which companies.

Mbappe reportedly started a boycott of certain companies back in March and wanted to negotiate with the FFF but it has not been sorted.

The forward donates all the money he makes from France's sponsors to charity but is said not to want to work with some fast food and gambling brands.

France's national team's main sponsors include Uber Eats, KFC and Coca-Cola, with the latter having previous with famous players not wanting to be associated with their brand.

Cristiano Ronaldo famously removed two bottles of Coke during a post match press conference at the Euros last summer, instead deciding to favour the water.

That stunt cost the company a whopping $5.2 billion off their share price at the time, which won't have left them particularly happy as one of the tournament's top sponsors.

France have a history of things going wrong for them at tournaments, and their players not getting on, and they'll be hoping to avoid any of that before Qatar.

They are currently bottom of their group in the Nations League, having gone winless in the opening four games, and will be hoping to avoid relegation.

Didier Deschamps side face Austria and top of the table Denmark in their final two fixtures before the World Cup.

In the Middle East they will face Denmark once again, as well as Australia and Tunisia in the group stages, and they could face Argentina in the second round if they fail to top the group.

As the current holders though, they'll mainly be trying to avoid the curse of going out at the group stages, as has happened to every holders since 2002, with the exception of Brazil.
