Roy Keane's Prediction Of Man United Stars Throwing Solskjaer Under The Bus Resurfaces, Fan Thinks He Was 'Right All Along'

Roy Keane's Prediction Of Man United Stars Throwing Solskjaer Under The Bus Resurfaces, Fan Thinks He Was 'Right All Along'

Roy Keane's comments on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Jose Mourinho came after Man United's 6-1 defeat to Tottenham at Old Trafford last season.

Roy Keane’s suggestions that Manchester United players would ‘throw’ Ole Gunnar Solskjaer under the bus as they did with Jose Mourinho are making the rounds on social media.

Mourinho’s two-and-a-half-year spell at Old Trafford came to an end in 2018 after a disappointing run of results in the Premier League season.

The Special One, 58, had also lost the support of the United players in the dressing room and publicly criticised the likes of Luke Shaw and Paul Pogba.

Solskjaer initially succeeded Mourinho as United’s caretaker manager before he was appointed permanently in March 2019.

Solskjaer, who inked a contract extension with United in July, watched Liverpool steamroll his side in a devastating 5-0 defeat at Old Trafford on Sunday.

United are considering sacking Solskjaer ahead of the club’s clash with Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

Keane, who has been criticised by Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher for defending Solskjaer, warned that his former teammate could be shown the Old Trafford exit in the same manner as Mourinho.

The Red Devils were thumped 6-1 by Tottenham at Old Trafford last season, which prompted Keane to claim that “ultimately these players will cost Ole his job.”

Speaking on Sky Sports, the United legend said: “I've been saying it for the last 12 months, year and a half.

“Their performance against Spurs was disgraceful. You all have bad days in football, but some of the players were a disgrace to the Man United badge.

“There are too many bluffers, and ultimately these players will cost Ole his job. The players he has got there, they threw the previous manager under the bus, and they will do the same to Ole.”

One United fan who shared Keane’s comments on Twitter claimed that he was “right all along.”

Former Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte and ex-Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane have been linked with United amid uncertainty surrounding Solskjaer’s future.

Solskjaer led United to second place in the Premier League last season and the Europa League final, which ended in defeat to Villarreal on penalties.
