Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will return to the dugout having been linked with a stunning move to Real Madrid.
Klopp has not returned to management since departing Anfield at the end of the 2023/24 season, citing a mental fatigue from years of competing at the very top of the Premier League.
The German left Liverpool with one Premier League title and one Champions League crown with his successor Arne Slot matching his league title haul after just one season.
At the start of 2025, Klopp made his next move in football, becoming Red Bull's Global Sports Director, working across their vast football portfolio including teams like RB Leipzig, Salzburg and New York Red Bulls.

Klopp continues to be linked with a return to management at both club and international level and speculation has ramped up in recent weeks after Real Madrid parted ways with Xabi Alonso just seven months into the Spaniard's reign as head coach of his former club.

However, Klopp's next return to the dugout will not be at the Bernabeu as the former Borussia Dortmund boss has accepted a return to Anfield as assistant manager to Sir Kenny Dalglish for a charity game between Liverpool and Dortmund on March 28.
The German managed the Bundesliga side between 2008 and 2015 before making the move to Merseyside and will be joined on the touchline with Liverpool legends Ian Rush and John Alridge. Klopp was named an honorary ambassador for Liverpool's official charity after stepping down from his management role.
Despite the rumours linking him with various roles, Klopp has maintained he doesn't know whether he will ever return to full-time management.
Asked about potentially replacing Alonso, Klopp said recently: "I’m in a place, as a person, where I’m completely at peace with where I am.
“I don’t want to be somewhere else. I don’t get up and excited if Real Madrid are showing interest if they would be, but it’s the media.
“Do I want to coach again? At the moment, I would say no, but I cannot say never, never, never.
“I don’t expect to change my mind, but I don’t know.”
