"It's crossed his mind..." - Agent drops huge Bellingham update, it's a blow for Man Utd and Liverpool

"It's crossed his mind..." - Agent drops huge Bellingham update, it's a blow for Man Utd and Liverpool

A number of clubs are interested in Bellingham.

Jude Bellingham is considering staying at Borussia Dortmund until the end of his contract in 2025, a football agent has claimed.

Bellingham, 19, is one of the most in-demand players in world football, with the Borussia Dortmund star the target of a number of Europe's top clubs.

United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid have all been linked with the England international, who has scored 19 goals in 112 games for Dortmund since joining from Birmingham City in 2020.

Meanwhile, Premier League champions Manchester City are also thought to be considering a move for the midfielder.

'Bellingham may wait and move for free'

British agent Haydn Dodge claims Phil Foden and Erling Haaland, who played alongside Bellingham at Dortmund, are desperate for the midfielder to move to the Etihad.

But he has also claimed Bellingham is considering snubbing a return to English football to see out the remainder of his contract in Germany.

"Bellingham may actually wait and move for free," Dodge told Caught Offside.

"I know it's crossed his mind, but I also know that Erling Haaland and Phil Foden have been in his ear about moving to Manchester City.

"Haaland is absolutely desperate to link back up with him again and when it comes to Foden, it's clear to see how well he gets on with Bellingham, England fans saw that for themselves last night against Wales."

'Grealish could be sacrificed for Bellingham deal'

Dodge claims England international Jack Grealish could be sold by City to fund a move for Bellingham.

Grealish only joined City in a £100m move from Aston Villa in 2021 but has struggled to produce his best form since joining Pep Guadiola’s squad.

"With the Financial Fair Play pressure on Man City, there are talks in the industry that Jack Grealish may be the player that is sacrificed if they do decide to go in for Bellingham – from what I’m hearing too, Aston Villa could look to bring Grealish back," added Dodge.

"It's certainly a possibility and one that won't be ruled out."

Bellingham's stock has risen even further at the World Cup in Qatar, with the midfielder scoring England's first goal of the tournament in their 6-2 win over Iran.

According to a recent CIES Football Observatory study, Bellingham is the most valuable player at the World Cup with a transfer valuation of £176.8m - ahead of the likes of Vinicius Jr (£176m) and Kylian Mbappe (£162m).

Bellingham is expected to start on Sunday when England face Africa Cup of Nations winners Senegal in the round of 16.

Should England win, they will face either France or Poland in the quarter-finals.
