"I'm amazed!" - Pundit claims Bellingham's agent has made a huge error over potential Liverpool deal

Simon Jordan insisted Jude Bellingham’s agent made an error with the teenager’s Borussia Dortmund contract.

Simon Jordan insisted Jude Bellingham’s agent made an error with the teenager’s Borussia Dortmund contract, and it could scupper a move to Liverpool.

Bellingham has received widespread praise for his World Cup performances for England.

The 19-year-old’s midfield display against Senegal in particular saw the Borussia Dortmund star demonstrate precisely why he has become one of the most sought-after talents in European football.

Bellingham has been the subject of interest from some of the world’s biggest sides. Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have expressed an interest, while in the Premier League Liverpool, Manchester United and Man City all want to sign the player in 2023.

Bellingham’s Borussia Dortmund future is looking more precarious by the day, though with the England star’s contract not expiring until 2025, the Bundesliga club are likely to fetch a massive transfer fee.

“I’m amazed”

SportBILD has claimed that Dortmund have put a £130million price tag on Bellingham, which is some £50million more than what Liverpool are reportedly willing to bid.

In turn, TalkSPORT’s Jordan berated Bellingham’s agent for not including a release clause in the player’s deal.

The former Crystal Palace chairman added that only one club would be able to match Die Borussen’s whopping price tag.

Speaking on White and Jordan, he said: “Normally you would have expected a release clause.

“Because they’re now talking about this deal being done for between £100million-£150m which is ridiculous money, but let’s say that’s the case.

“I am amazed that the agent of Bellingham didn’t put a release clause in there because as we know, the less the transfer fee, the more the player is going to receive in benefits for his particular contract.

“So I’m amazed that they’re in this scale of things, but clearly they are. That might well exclude and preclude Liverpool from the equation.

“Because if you’re getting into £150m, there’s probably one club that he would go to that would be prepared to pay that, and that would be Manchester City.”
