Jesse Lingard has three big transfer options this summer

Jesse Lingard reportedly has three big transfer options on the table in the summer, with the midfielder set to leave struggling Nottingham Forest.

Lingard was one of many new signings made by Forest after their promotion back to the Premier League, signing a one-year contract following his departure from boyhood club Manchester United.

The former West Ham loanee joined on a free transfer and penned a £120,000-a-week deal.

However, with injuries and other players being preferred, he's made just 12 Premier League starts for Forest, who are 18th and occupy the final relegation spot after going 10 games without a win.

Lingard will once again be a free agent at the end of the season and is destined to leave the City Ground.

But the 30-year-old likely won't have much difficulty finding a new club, with the Daily Mail reporting that at least trio of sides are keen on the England international.

Local rivals Leicester City, who are also in a relegation dogfight are showing interest. Lingard spent time at the Foxes on loan in the 2012/13 season, making five appearances in the Championship.

Turkish giants Fenerbahce are also said to be keen, while further options from abroad are available through sides in the Middle East should Lingard want to take his career in that direction.

Manager Steve Cooper gave Lingard a two-minute cameo against former club United on Sunday as the visitors ran out comfortable 2-0 winners.

Before the fixture he admitted that it's not been easy for Lingard in his spell in Nottingham.

"Like everybody, he’s giving everything to be in a position where he wants to contribute. Jesse is as determined as anybody else in the group. He’s had a bit of a tough time," Cooper said.

"He’s missed some games through injuries that haven’t been long-term injuries but have just not allowed him to be available for games."
