Friday night sees Crystal Palace play host to London rivals Arsenal in a game that will be the curtain raiser for both the new Premier League campaign and a new year of FPL.

The fantasy football game is coming off the back of its most popular year yet, with 8 million active users last campaign and this season is expected to be even bigger.

Despite the introduction of prolific goalscorers Erling Haaland and Darwin Nunez to England’s top division, it is Arsenal’s new signing Gabriel Jesus that is the most picked player so far this year. 71.5% of managers have selected him for their team, making him the most popular player in FPL history!

The £1.15 billion spent by Premier League clubs this summer means that users have a whole variety of quality player picks to choose from, paving the way for even greater competition between friends, families and coworkers.

As the deadline for gameweek 1 fast approaches, most managers will find themselves already in a league. However if you feel you are out of your depth or you simply don’t want to be in your current league anymore, here is what you need to know about leaving.

The only way to be able to exit a league is from the website on your computer or mobile device, and not the app.

  1. Sign in to FPL
  2. Click the ‘Leagues’ tab
  3. Select the options tab next to the league which you would like to leave
  4. Click ‘Exit League’
  5. You’re done!

If you would like to leave a league on the Fantasy Draft game mode, you can only do so before the Draft has taken place, otherwise you are locked in for the remainder of the season.
