A video of Erling Haaland running through James Milner during Liverpool vs. Manchester City has gone viral on social media.

Haaland fired blank as Man City suffered their first Premier League defeat of the season, losing 1-0 to Liverpool last Sunday.

Mohamed Salah scored the only goal of the game as he skipped past Joao Cancelo before slotting home at Anfield.

Liverpool's league win is just their third of the season, having endured an underwhelming start to the campaign.

But the Reds' star players returned to their best against Man City, with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez nullifying Haaland while Salah was electric up front.

Not to mention James Milner who starred for Liverpool as he deputised from Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back.

Micah Richards praised his showing while Gary Neville said he epitomised Liverpool's spirit.

The 36-year-old was up for the fight, with a clip of him attempting to block Haaland sending Twitter into overdrive.

Liverpool have shared a video documenting the game and it shows Milner trying to stop Haaland in his tracks.

However, the Norwegian phenom runs straight through run in a comical moment that's got fans talking online.

One Twitter user wrote: "Milner putting his life on the line."

A second tweeted: "I admire Miner's willingness to move in front of an oncoming train."

A third joked: "This is just 'The James Milner Thing'."

Another added: "He bullied James Milner out of the way."

Milner joked about Haaland after his heroic display at the back.

Viaplay reporter Jan Age Fjortoft asked the veteran player: "Alfie Haaland was my guest today and he said apparently when Erling plays against you he always says 'Leeds, Leeds, Leeds' can you confirm that?"

The former Leeds United youth product replied: "I can confirm he said he was going to sign for Leeds a few years ago when we played against him and he was obviously lying so that’s disappointing."

Fjortoft continued: "So he didn’t say anything about it today? To which Milner replied: "We had a little chat, yeah."
