Gary Neville has named FOUR positions Manchester United need to prioritise in the summer transfer window.

Man United were knocked out of the Europa League following their thrashing at the hands of Sevilla, who won the quarter-final tie 5-2 on aggregate.

They won the second-leg 3-0, with David De Gea coming under intense scrutiny following his errors for two of the goals in midweek.

And Neville believes his old side should target a new goalkeeper at the end of the season, with De Gea's current deal set to expire in June.

The 32-year-old has been at Old Trafford since 2011 but appears set to call time on his career at the club, with Erik ten Hag thought to be looking for a new No.1 ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Neville also reckons Man United need a new centre-back, forward and a right-back.

The Red Devils snapped up Lisandro Martnez last summer, but Neville reckons they need reinforcement in that area, with Harry Maguire's future clouded with uncertainty.

Despite Ten Hag boasting Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Neville thinks they need another right-back in the summer.

A forward should also be prioritised, according to Neville, with Man United strongly linked with a move for Harry Kane following Cristiano Ronaldo's explosive departure.

But not all Man United fans are on board with Neville's opinion. People online feel a midfielder is more important than a right-back.

One Twitter user wrote: "RB is not a priority position as GK/ST."

A second tweeted: "Midfield over a RB for me personally."

A third added: "Midfielder is more important than a RB. Dalot/AWB have done well but in the midfield we lack depth."

A fourth said: "Midfielder is a higher priority than a right back, desperately need someone who can get on the ball and carry it."

Another commented: "Agreed but I'd put central midfielder, probably 2 of them, up there aswell, ahead of RB."
