A newly reimagined FIFA football simulation game is coming to Netflix Games ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
For many years, FIFA collaborated with long-term video game partner EA Sports to produce some of the most popular video games of all time but in 2022, their exclusive agreement came to an end.
EA have continued creating games under EA FC branding, while a promised rival game from FIFA has never materialised... until now.
On Wednesday afternoon, it was announced that a new FIFA simulation game, which will be developed and published by Delphi Interactive, will launch on Netflix Games for subscribers of the video streaming service.

Details about the game are limited at this stage, but Infantino has declared that the reimagined game will mark "the beginning of a new era of digital football" and is set to "redefine the pure notion of simulation games."
The game will feature both single-player and multiplayer content, according to Restart, who confirmed that the game can be played on TVs using a smartphone as a controller.

Netflix release statement on 'newly reimagined FIFA football simulation game'
The streaming giants confirmed the news in a statement on their official website.
It read: "This summer, as the world gathers to celebrate the FIFA World Cup 2026, fans can play a newly reimagined FIFA football simulation game exclusively on Netflix Games.
"The game, developed and published by Delphi Interactive, allows Netflix members to experience the emotion and drama of the tournament in its purest, most joyful form — in a format that’s fast to learn, thrilling to master, and built for anyone to jump in.
"Plus, you can play solo or with friends online: All you need is Netflix and your phone."
The statement added: "Millions of people already watch Netflix on their TVs, and now you can play games there too. The new FIFA game will join recently released titles as part of a suite of games that Netflix members can find on their TVs, right alongside their favorite shows and movies, using their phones as a controller."
Alain Tascan, the President of Games at Netflix, added: "The FIFA World Cup is going to be the cultural event of 2026, and now fans will be able to celebrate their fandom by bringing the game right into their living rooms."
He added: "We want to bring football back to its roots with something everyone can play with just the touch of a button.”
EA previously released standalone World Cup games up until 2018, before they added a World Cup 'update' to the existing FIFA game for 2018 and 2022.
