Footie fans and gamers alike are eagerly anticipating the release of EA Sports FC 25, due to drop on 27 September. But, if like us, you just can’t wait that long, then we’ve got you covered.

To get your hands on the popular video game before your mates, you need to order the EA Sports FC 25 Ultimate Edition - available to play from 20 September.

The Ultimate Edition cover features Gianluigi Buffon, Aitana Bonmatí, Jude Bellingham, Zinedine Zidane and David Beckham surrounded by golden trophies and winning memorabilia on its cover. Bellingham is this year’s face of the Standard Edition, with the Real Madrid star EA’s youngest-ever cover star at just 21 years of age.

In celebration of EA’s biggest release yet, the gaming giant has teased a series of new (and somewhat controversial) features this season. As previously mentioned, the latest edition of the football franchise, formerly FIFA, features a new Ultimate Team game mode known as 5v5 Rush which enables players to take part in five vs five matches. According to EA, the soon-to-launch feature offers a ‘new way to play and win together’ for fast-paced gameplay with friends.

The game has also drawn attention for its ability to enable professional fouls in matches, a move that has brought widespread excitement - and debate. Fouls have featured in the popular gaming franchise for years, but what’s different is that now there is ‘guaranteed play stoppage’.

EA Sports FC 25 will also welcome a new class of ‘Icons’, a series of former football greats. EA has confirmed that Gareth Bale and Buffon have made the list this year alongside five female footballers: Lotta Schelin, Aya Myiami, Julie Foudy, Marinette Pichon and Nadine Angerer.

What are the EA Sports FC 25 Ultimate Edition pre-order bonuses?

In addition to the Standard Edition features, if you pre-order the EA Sports FC 25 Ultimate Edition, you’ll start your player career with three ‘Icons’: Ronaldo Nazario, Zidane, and Beckham - another move that has divided fans. Most importantly, you’ll have up to seven days' worth of early access to the highly-anticipated game.

Other Ultimate Edition bonuses include:

  • 4,600 FC Points (3,850 on Nintendo Switch)
  • Player evolution slot
  • Early access Rush rewards

Where can I pre-order EA Sports FC 25 Ultimate Edition?

EA Sports FC 25 is available to play on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch™.

You can pre-order FC 25 Ultimate Edition from CDKeys and Amazon for Xbox and PC. For PlayStation, check out the PS Store. Nintendo Switch users, make sure to head to Argos.
