Information about EA Sports FC 25 continues to be rolled out, including details on one of the most controversial additions in the history of the franchise.

Jude Bellingham was announced as the cover star for this year's game, while the official trailer dropped at the start of the week.

EA have been publishing details of changes, while a stream of content creators have also been weighing in.

Many tend to complain that the game remains the same but one feature in particular can definitely be considered a gamechanger.

It's emerged that players will be able to commit professional fouls in EA FC 25.

Fouls have been in the game for a number of years but according to Epic Games, the difference time this time around is that a guaranteed stoppage in play can be initiated.

When an opposition player is running through and danger is near, there will be the option to deliberately pull them down and earn a easy yellow card.

This can be done by pressing 'R2' and 'X' on a PlayStation controller or the Right Trigger and 'A' if on Xbox.

While some clear fouls in the game sometimes go unpunished, these tactical fouls will always result in a caution.

And if committed on more than occasion by the same player, then you're looking at a red card.

Professional fouls are a key part of the game and so EA have brought in the realism into the virtual world.

And fans are very much in favour of the alteration.

One wrote: I’ll 100% do this anytime I’m up 1 after 80 mins

Another said: "This is will be so so good."

A third added: "The stress this will cause."

A fourth person weighed in: "If this is true then I love it."

A final user commented: "Can’t wait to forget my players are on yellow cards and do it anyway."
