Liverpool transfer target Yan Diamonde has reportedly approved a transfer to four major European clubs.

Ivory Coast international Diamonde has been one of the most sought-after wingers in Europe during the summer transfer window after showing his potential at RB Leipzig, for whom he registered 15 goals and 11 assists in 46 games last term.

The 19-year-old, who is contracted to RB Leipzig until 2030, has already been the subject of an £86.8 million bid from Liverpool in June, which was subsequently rejected by the German club.

The Bundesliga outfit reportedly want a fee in excess of £100 million for the teenager.

Earlier in July, The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported that Paris Saint-Germain were Diamonde’s preferred destination, with the player going public about his admiration for the European champions.

"Paris Saint-Germain is a team I've loved since I was little. I think my father was a PSG supporter. It's a team I admire as a football fan," he told French media.

In a separate interview with Telefoot on TFI, he added: "Yeah, it would be a pleasure for me to come and play here with one of the biggest clubs. It's always a pleasure to come here [to play in France] because, already the language, with French, adapting won't be difficult, so why not? But then again, I'm an RB Leipzig player, so there you go."

Since then, several other clubs aside from PSG and Liverpool have been linked with an interest in the player ahead of the September 1 transfer deadline.

Now, German outlet BILD, as relayed by Sport Witness, have reported that Premier League rivals Manchester City and Manchester United could be set to make a move for Diamonde.

The teenager’s representatives have reportedly been in daily contact with several clubs across Europe, as well as RB Leipzig, over his future.

However, none of the aforementioned clubs are willing to pay a fee in excess of Liverpool’s opening bid.

Real Madrid and Chelsea are also keeping tabs on the situation.

Despite BILD reporting that the internal plan is for Diamonde to remain for another season, the player is open to moving to any of the aforementioned clubs should Leipzig accept an offer.

Leipzig may also be open to a sale, with a clause included meaning Diamonde is loaned back for a season.

Contrary reports suggest the Bundesliga club are prepared to offer the winger a new contract and a significant salary increase.

What has Diamonde said about his future?

Diamonde has made it clear that he expects to leave RB Leipzig this summer.

Speaking during the World Cup, he said: “My dream is playing for my country and [to] make history with my country.

“I don’t have Instagram any more, I don’t have to talk, so I can say anything.

“I expect to leave, of course. I have an agent who will manage the rest.

“But the most important thing right now is to be focused on the World Cup with my country and make history with them.”
