Wrexham's squad overhaul is beginning to take shape after it emerged that another departure is on the cards, just days after club legend Paul Mullin agreed to leave the Championship club.
Mullin, who scored 110 goals in 172 games for Phil Parkinson's side as they secured three consecutive promotions, has joined League One side Wigan Athletic on a season-long loan deal.
Wrexham have already released eight players going into next season, including former Wolves and Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher, and more departures are expected in the coming weeks.

In fact, on Wednesday morning, it emerged that Will Boyle is on the verge leaving the Racecourse Ground after Shrewsbury Town agreed a deal to sign the 29-year-old defender.
That's according to Football Insider, who claim the Welsh club have agreed to let Boyle leave and the transfer is expected to be completed 'imminently' after a breakthrough in negotiations.
Boyle, who failed to make a single appearance for the Dragons last season following injury problems, will undergo a medical at the League Two club after agreeing personal terms.
Last month, Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson admitted that more players will be leaving the club over the summer to allow room for new arrivals, mentioning former player Sam Dalby, who would later join Bolton.

"It goes without saying that as the summer and pre-season progresses, there are players who will want a move themselves," he said.
“As much as the lads love being at Wrexham, there are players who haven’t figured as much who will be thinking, ‘For my own career I need to get playing again.’ Sam is a great example of that, he did really well on loan at Dundee United.
“Obviously, players are going to be leaving because we need to make space to bring in additions to make us competitive.”
In the wake of the club’s promotion-clinching win over Charlton, Parkinson claimed that the upcoming season will be a “huge” challenge, but promised fans that they will try and build a squad that can compete.

"We've got a lot of work to do this summer because we know we're going into a huge division in terms of the stature of the clubs in it," Parkinson told the BBC.
"We'll take a week or two to take stock of everything, have a good look at the market out there and what we need to do."

According to Football Insider, Wrexham will have around £30m to spend this summer. They have also been linked with a host of impending free agents, including West Ham's Aaron Cresswell, Tottenham's Ben Davies and Fulham captain Tom Cairney.
