Sky Sports Fans Urged to Make One Change to Keep Watching Premier League and Champions League

TNT Sports is moving broadcast channels

Sky customers with TNT Sports access have been urged to act, as the Premier League and Champions League has found a new home.

This week, it was announced that TNT Sports is moving from discovery+ to HBO Max on Thursday, March 26 in the UK and Ireland.

As football fans will know, TNT Sports is currently available on discovery+ for £30.99 per month with access to the Premier League, Champions League, Emirates FA Cup, and more.

Thankfully, the price isn't going anywhere, but what does happens if you already have a discovery+ or Sky Sports subscription? Find out everything you need to know below.

When Is TNT Sports Leaving discovery+?

As mentioned above, TNT Sports will leave discovery+ on Thursday, March 26 and will be move to HBO Max in the UK and Ireland.

A new sports package will be on offer as a standalone option for £30.99 (the same price as discovery+) or you can upgrade a standard HBO Max entertainment plan for an additional cost.

You can learn more about the new HBO Max packages on offer below:

  • Standard (£9.99 per month): HBO Max shows and movies available on an ad-free basis across up to two devices
  • Premium (£14.99 per month): HBO Max shows and movies on an ad-free basis across up to four devices
  • TNT Sports Plan (£30.99 per month): Includes TNT Sports 1-4, TNT Sports Ultimate, live event feeds, and TNT Sports Original Documentaries

What Happens if You Already Have a discovery+ or TNT Sports Subscription?

Amazon Prime

If you have a discovery+, TNT Sports, and Entertainment subscription on Prime Video, your plan will continue as a standalone TNT Sports subscription.

Your plan will no longer include access to discovery+ entertainment content, and your monthly price for TNT Sports on Prime Video will be reduced.

Amazon will issue a refund for any unused remaining days of your discovery+ TNT Sports & Entertainment billing period as of March 26.

You will be charged the new reduced price for your TNT Sports subscription of £30.99 per month and a new billing date will apply.

Sky Sports

Sky customers* who have already purchased TNT Sports from Sky will continue to have access TNT Sports via the TV and HBO Max app.

There will be an additional cost of £30.99 per month for TNT Sports if customers don't already pay for it via their Sky subscription.

To continue to watch TNT Sports via Sky, all you need to do is download the HBO Max app and sign in using your existing discovery+ login details.

Apple and Google

If you have a TNT Sports and Entertainment plan via Apple or Google, it will change to TNT Sports from February 21 and your monthly price will be reduced from £33.99 to £30.99.

When HBO Max is available on March 26, your subscription will continue on the TNT Sports plan via HBO Max. All you need to do is download the HBO Max app and sign in with your discovery+ email and password.

If you want to continue to watch discovery+ entertainment content after March 26, you'll need to resubscribe to discovery+.

Nothing else will change in terms of coverage, as the usual presenters will front the channel, such as Laura Woods, Reshmin Chowdhury, and Jules Breach.

The HBO Max UK and Ireland website has not launched yet.
