Fans Are Saying The Same Thing About Sky Sports Multiview During Premier League Chaos

Four Premier League games were broadcast live simultaneously on Sky Sports' Multiview service.

Fans are saying the same thing during Sky Sports' Multiview coverage of Tuesday's Premier League fixtures.

Four games kicked off at 7:30pm on Tuesday evening, including Chelsea's clash against Bournemouth and Burnley versus Newcastle.

West Ham took on Brighton at the London Stadium, and Nottingham Forest hosted Everton at the City Ground.

Sky Sports used its Multiview service for the fixtures, which allows fans to watch all the matches at the same time.

Three of the matches are in smaller vision on the right side of the screen, with the highlighted match taking up the rest of the screen and switching between the fixtures when key events take place.

It ended up being a chaotic night of Premier League football, with 14 goals going in across the four matches.

The matches between Chelsea and Bournemouth, and West Ham and Brighton, both ended 2-2, while Newcastle defeated Burnley 3-1.

Forest versus Everton was slightly more serene, with the Toffees securing a crucial 2-0 away win.

There were other key moments across the four matches, with Danny Welbeck hitting the post with a panenka penalty for Brighton.

Incredibly, 11 of the 14 goals were scored in the first half of the games, meaning the Multiview operator was kept busy in repeatedly switching the highlighted game.

And fans have spoken positively about the feature, which is new for the season, and say it should be introduced for future weekend fixtures if English football's 3pm blackout ends.

One fan wrote: "This Sky Sports multiview thing is rocking my world. Imagine this for 3pm Saturday games."

Another said: "Sky Sports multiview is unreal."

A third added: "Sky Sports Multiview on a Premier League night is one of the best things ever."

While a fourth stated: "It's a brilliant multiview tonight I must say."

The Guardian's Matt Hughes reported last week that the Premier League and EFL will enter talks next year to end the 3pm blackout.

It is said that the FA are 'unlikely to object to the blackout being dropped'. The FA are ultimately responsible for the blackout as they must apply to UEFA to impose Article 48 of its statutes if requested to do so by the leagues themselves.

Article 48 reads that live football transmission can be prohibited for 'two and a half hours on a Saturday or a Sunday' in each of UEFA's territories.
