Fans think it’s time for a huge decision to be made after watching Spain’s 5-4 victory against France in the UEFA Nations League semi-finals on Thursday (June 5).
Spain set up a mouthwatering Nations League final against Portugal on Sunday, with what should’ve been a convincing victory against France in Stuttgart on Thursday evening.
On 55 minutes, Spain were 4-0 up thanks to strikes from Nico Williams, Mikel Merino, Lamine Yamal and Pedri.

But the French fought back and netted a penalty through Kylian Mbappe on 59 minutes before Yamal added Spain’s fifth and his second just eight minutes later.
Debutant Rayan Cherki added France’s second with an impressive left-footed strike with eleven minutes left before Spain’s Dani Vivian’s own goal made it 5-3 with six minutes remaining.

And there were a few nervous Spain supporters in the MHP Arena when Randal Kolo Muani nodded home France’s fourth in second-half stoppage time, but the European champions came away with the spoils.

Despite France’s spirited comeback, some fans suggested Didier Deschamps’ exit should be sooner rather than later.
Currently, Deschamps, 56, is due to leave his role as head coach after the 2026 World Cup.
But some fans think the decision should be brought forward after tonight’s poor defensive display.

One fan said: "France are being humiliated. Sack Deschamps before the World Cup."
Another added: "Deschamps should’ve been sacked a long time ago."
A third claimed: "There's still time for the 2026 World Cup, just sack Deschamps and appoint Zidane. He's right there, waiting for the France job."
A fourth commented: "If Deschamps has any shame, he’d step down the moment the game is over."

While a fifth explained: "Rabiot starting in 2025 with Tchouaméni on the bench. Deschamps is such a fraud."
Zinedine Zidane made his feelings clear about managing France when he spoke at an Adidas event last week.
The former Real Madrid player and head coach said: "I feel qualified for the French team, where I played and spent practically 12, 13, 14 years as a player. Of course, it's a dream. I can't wait."
