Scotland Score Two Stunning Goals In Added Time To Qualify For World Cup In Chaotic Scenes

Kieran Tierney and Kenny McLean have made Scottish history.

Scotland have scored two sensational goals in injury time to beat Denmark 4-2 and qualify the 2026 World Cup by winning Group C.

Steve Clarke's side twice took the lead at Hampden Park, including a stunning bicycle kick from Scott McTominay.

Denmark pegged them back to make it 2-2 - a result which would have been enough for them to win and consign Scotland to the play-offs.

John McGinn went close late on as 10-man Denmark desperately clung on.

But it was one of the most unlikeliest of sources who secured the win with Scotland - with the best goal of his career.

After the ball was knocked down from a Scotland free-kick, former Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney strode towards the ball and curled an inch-perfect first-time effort into the bottom corner from 20 yards out.

Hampden Park erupted as Tierney charged towards the dugout and was mobbed by his team-mates and coaching staff.

Then, if that wasn't enough, with Kasper Schmeichel off his line at the other end, Kenny McLean picked the ball up and scored from the halfway line to rubber-stamp a 4-2 victory to Scotland.

It is the first time Scotland have qualified for the World Cup since 1998.

They were staring the play-offs in the face at 2-2, with a Rasmus Hojlund penalty and Patrick Dorgu's strike cancelling out McTominay's bicycle kick and Lawrence Shankland's close-range finish.

Hampden Park began to get restless in the final minutes of the encounter - particularly when only six minutes were added on following a lengthy VAR check for Denmark's penalty.

The Danes were down to 10 men for the final half an hour after Rasmus Kristensen was shown a second yellow card for a pull on Aston Villa captain McGinn.

But at the end of a remarkable night in Glasgow, Scotland can start their preparations for the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico and look to win their first match at the tournament since 1990.
