AC Milan head coach Ruben Amorim has reportedly identified another Manchester United player as a potential summer signing, just days after the Italian club made 'an approach' for Mason Mount.
Amorim, who was sacked by United in January, has replaced Massimiliano Allegri at the Rossoneri after they failed to qualify for the Champions League following a fifth-place finish in Serie A.
Milan say the Portuguese coach will bring a "modern dominant tactical approach" to the San Siro.
"I know exactly what this club means: history, prestige and an extraordinary fanbase around the world. It is a challenge I embrace with pride and enthusiasm," Amorim said on his arrival.

After such a disappointing campaign, it is expected to be a busy summer in Milan, with several players already being linked with a switch.
Earlier this month, Nicolo Schira claimed Milan had been offered the chance to sign Manuel Ugarte from United, although his ACL injury at the World Cup has all but ruled out a summer move.

Last week, Milan are said to have made initial approaches over the signing of Mason Mount, who has been slapped with an asking price of just €25 million (£21.5m), as per journalist Daniel Speranza.
And on Monday evening, it emerged that Amorim is hoping to land a new centre-back ahead of the new campaign, with two names being mentioned.
Sporting Lisbon's Goncalo Inacio is one of the defenders Amorim is "crazy about", according to Antonio Vitiello, who also names Lisandro Martinez as being someone of interest. In fact, contacts have already been made regarding a potential deal.
Martinez spent a large chunk of last season on the sidelines after suffering a torn ACL in February 2025, an injury that kept him out for 10 months.
The 28-year-old, who joined United from Ajax in 2022 for around £57 million, made 19 appearances in all competitions for the Premier League side last season but beyond that, he has played a key role at Old Trafford.
What Ruben Amorim has previously said about Lisandro Martinez
Back in December, after United recorded a 1-0 win over Newcastle, Amorim was full of praise for Martinez.
"He is a guy with a lot of character," said Amorim. "He's really good on the ball. He’s used to that stress and he showed today that he’s a top player."
