Roy Keane left Gary Neville and Ian Wright in stitches after making a typically brutal comment to Jill Scott at Euro 2024.

Former Manchester United captain Keane is well known for not pulling any punches, particularly when it comes to his fellow pundits.

Neville has been on the end of numerous put-downs from his former teammate, who certainly isn't afraid to make his opinions known.

But it was former England international Scott who was subject to his latest attack on the new episode of Sky Bet's Stick to Football podcast, hosted in Germany for Euro 2024.

At the start of the episode, Scott joins her fellow pundits at the table while wearing an England shirt – immediately attracting the attention of former Republic of Ireland captain Keane.

"What are you wearing a top for?," asked Keane in typically blunt fashion.

"Because we're at the Euros and England are through," replied Scott.

Neville interjected: "I like that look Jill."

Scott then made the mistake of attempting a dig at Keane, asking the former United midfielder: "Did you miss your make-up appointment?"

To which he fired back: "You've been in there for two hours. And I tell you, it's made no difference!"

Neville and Ian Wright immediately burst into laughter but thankfully Scott appeared to take the joke well.

"I'll take that as a compliment, like I'm a natural beauty," she joked.

During the episode, Keane apologised to Manchester United defender Harry Maguire – admitting comments he made about the England international that had sometimes "crossed the line".

"I was harsh on Harry Maguire for footballing reasons and obviously we do a lot of [Manchester] United matches. Obviously he's struggled at United and had a tough time with England but more so at club level.

"We're on about the mental health of players, and I’ve crossed the line with Maguire. I mocked him a little bit and it’s not nice. I've played the game, I know how hard it is, but I'm also big enough. I bumped into Harry a few months ago and I apologised to him.

"Sometimes as pundits we get it wrong as well, but there is a point where you go, if it's personal then you're crossing the line."

Maguire was left out of England's Euros squad after failing to recover from a calf injury in time for the tournament.

Without him, the Three Lions have reached the last 16 of the competition by winning Group C, albeit in an unconvincing fashion.

England narrowly beat Serbia before drawing with Denmark and Slovenia to win the group with just five points.

They will now take on Slovakia, who finished third in Group E, in Gelsenkirchen on Sunday.
