Netflix have dropped the official trailer for Ronaldinho: The One and Only, a three-episode documentary that will feature never-before-seen moments from his remarkable life, both on and off the pitch.
It has been a long time coming but on April 16, an intimate and extensive look into Ronaldinho, the player who made many of us fall in love with football, will drop on our screens.
With testimonials from Lionel Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo Nazario and Roberto Carlos, as well as exclusive access to the man himself, the series will touch on key moments from Ronaldinho's life.
From his time with Barcelona, as well as some of his so-called "troubled" moments, including his brief stint in a Paraguayan prison, it appears everything will be covered in depth.

Netlix say the docuseries will include exclusive access to his present-day private life and never-before-seen archival material.
"It traces the journey of one of the last ambassadors of Brazil’s beautiful game, one of the greatest idols of all time," a statement from Netflix read.
"It is the story of how a boy from Porto Alegre not only conquered the world, but also became one of the most decorated players in history."
Ronaldinho spent 32 days in a Paraguayan prison in 2020
Back in March 2020, Ronaldinho and his brother, Roberto de Assis, were arrested for entering Paraguay for a promotional tour with falsified passports and ID. They would go on to spend just over a month in prison.
Their lawyer maintained that his clients did not know the documents were falsified.
“We were totally stunned when we found out the documents weren’t legal," said Ronaldinho in April 2020. “From that moment onwards our intention has been to co-operate with the courts to clarify all this.”

In an interview at the Palmaroga Hotel, where he was under house arrest after his release from a remand prison, Ronaldinho opened up about how his time in prison impacted him.
“Finding out I was going to prison hit me hard. I never imagined I would be in a situation like this," he said. “All my life I’ve tried to reach my highest level professionally and bring happiness to people with my football.”
Ronaldinho also spoke about signing autographs and taking pictures with inmates. “Playing football, signing autographs and having photos taken is part of my life," he added.
“I’d have no reason to stop doing it, especially with people who were experiencing a difficult time the same as me.”
