Rodrygo has made his feelings clear on becoming Liverpool’s replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Real Madrid star Rodrygo has sparked rumours he could be on the verge of leaving the Spanish giants.

Indeed, when asked ahead of the Champions League final if he wanted to star at Real forever, Rodrygo told DAZN: "Yes. Well... anything can happen. I have a contract here, but I don't know. The years I've been here have been a pleasure for me."

He added: "I've always said I want to be at this club, but let's see.”

The non comital comments led to Mundo Deportivo stating the 23-year-old remains a target for Premier League clubs, with Liverpool leading the race for his signature.

The Reds may look to cash in on Salah this summer, with the Egyptian, who has just a year left on his contract, having been linked to a move to the Saudi Pro League.

And Rodrygo, who still has four years left to run on his Real deal, could be an ideal replacement.

However, the Brazil international has since come out and clarified he has no plans to leave Real.

Writing on social media, Rodrygo confirmed: "Today - on Tuesday - a very annoying situation occurred, where one of my interviews was completely taken out of context.

"To be very direct, I am very happy at Real Madrid, I live a dream every day and it doesn't cross my mind to leave the club of my life. Now we still have history to make. Hala Madrid and nothing more!"

Rodrygo is likely to have less game time next term amid the expected arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick.

Real take on Borussia Dortmund on Saturday at Wembley, looking to claim a record-extending 15th Champions League crown.
