Jude Bellingham could reportedly be out of action for the rest of 2025 in what would be a bitter blow for Real Madrid and England.
Bellingham, 21, has been one of Madrid's standout players ever since joining the club from Borussia Dortmund in 2023.
Currently, the midfielder is in the United States as Madrid aim to win the newly revamped FIFA Club World Cup.

Bellingham was on the scoresheet on Sunday as Xabi Alonso's men secured a 3-1 win over Mexican club Pachuca.
However, it was reported after the match that Bellingham is set to undergo surgery.
As reported by The Standard, the England international has confirmed that he will undergo surgery on a shoulder problem when the Club World Cup comes to a close.

He said: "I’ve reached the point where the pain isn’t so bad, but I was sick of playing with the sling. I’m losing a lot of weight from sweating so much, and I’ve decided that I’ll have surgery after the tournament.
"I’ve been waiting for a long time, and my patience is running out, but the physios and doctors have been incredible. I just want to feel free."
On the back of the latest development, journalist Alberto Pereiro has claimed that Bellingham could be out for the rest of 2025.
He said on Onda Cero: "Once the participation of Madrid in this Club World Cup ends. Bellingham will have shoulder surgery two days later.

"Between three and four months off. There's no chance of him pushing the deadlines too far. Possibly the entire year 2025."
Pereiro added: "The complete recovery of the shoulder cannot be shortened much. He couldn't wait one more day, as he had terrible pain."

Aside from Madrid, England will also feel the impact of Bellingham's surgery as he is likely to miss the Three Lions' next camp.
