A punter has been left in disbelief after his accumulator failed to come in despite backing San Marino to get their first-ever competitive win.
San Marino shocked the world on Thursday evening, as they won their first match of football in over 20 years as they defeated Liechtenstein 1-0 in the Nations League.
19-year-old Nicko Sensoli, who plays his club football in Serie D, scored the only goal of the game after capitalising on some poor defending to prod the ball home in the second half.

Their triumph is their first victory since April 2004 when they coincidentally beat Thursday's opponents Liechtenstein in a friendly

Last year, San Marino gave Denmark a scare in their 2-1 defeat. They scored a shock goal against the Danes before eventually going on to lose.
However, they can still be prone to battering as in the same campaign, England smashed them 10-0, with Harry Kane scoring four goals.
San Marino's improvement hasn't gone unnoticed, and one punter put his confidence in the team by backing them in a sevenfold international acca, which came in at 78.4/1.
The punter backed the likes of Denmark, Northern Ireland, Slovakia and Spain to all win alongside San Marino, however, sensationally it was the European champions that let the punter down.

Spain drew 0-0 with Serbia in their UEFA Nations League opener, despite fielding the likes of Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo and Nico Williams.
