A punter lost 90% of their winnings after a brutal 90th-minute cash out on an FA Cup bet during Saturday’s action.
The punter got 200/1 odds on Manchester City to secure a 10-1 win over League One side Exeter.
City, who have made a poor start to 2026 having drawn their opening three league games to kick off the year, were expected to breeze past Exeter on Saturday.
Despite a raft of defensive injuries, City’s quality shone through as the Cityzens claimed a resounding victory over the Grecians.
City absolutely battered League One Exeter
City were four goals to the good at the break as Max Alleyne and Rodri fired City into a 2-0 lead midway through the first half.

Own goals from Jake Doyle-Hayes and Jack Fitzwater saw Pep Guardiola’s side go in at the interval with a commanding lead.

And the Premier League title contenders didn’t take their foot off the gas for the second half as Rico Lewis and Antoine Semenyo added City’s fifth and sixth shortly after the restart.
Tijjani Reijnders, Nico O’Reilly and Ryan McAidoo scored the Manchester side’s seventh, eighth and ninth goals.

Exeter’s George Birch then bagged a superb consolation goal in the 90th minute, which prompted this unlucky punter to cash out.
Punter cashed out too early on 200/1 bet
The bettor in question stuck a fiver on City to win 10-1 at odds of 200/1, and was offered the chance to cash out when Birch struck for Exeter.
A £111.67 cash out was triggered but had this punter let the bet ride, they would have claimed the full £1000 winnings as Lewis scored his second and City’s 10th in the 91st minute.

The image, posted on Facebook, showed a cracked phone with the cash out offer after Exeter pulled one goal back. We can neither confirm nor deny if the phone was cracked as a result of the early cash out…

The win will have come as a relief for City, who are six points behind Arsenal in the title race following respective draws with Sunderland, Chelsea and Brighton.
The Gunners were unable to fully capitalise upon City’s 1-1 draw with Brighton on Wednesday night as Mikel Arteta’s men were held to a 0-0 draw with Liverpool.
Martinelli was roundly criticised for Bradley incident
However, the main talking point from the Emirates stalemate was Gabriel Martinelli’s reaction to Conor Bradley’s late injury.

Bradley was forced off after suffering a serious non-contact knee issue late on in north London.
Martinelli took umbrage as Bradley waited to receive treatment on the pitch as the Brazilian tried to push the right-back off the pitch, prompting a furious reaction from the defender’s Liverpool teammates.
Both City are Arsenal are in EFL Cup action in midweek as the Cityzens take on Newcastle in their semi-final first leg clash on Tuesday night, while the Gunners follow up Sunday’s FA Cup trip to Portsmouth with a short trip across the capital to take on rivals Chelsea.
