Piers Morgan hilariously responds to Jamie Carragher criticising Arsenal's full-time celebrations over Liverpool

Piers Morgan and Jamie Carragher exchanged words following Arsenal's full-time celebrations.

Piers Morgan has hilariously responded to Jamie Carragher slamming Arsenal's celebrations following their big win over Liverpool.

Arsenal beat Liverpool 3-1 at the Emirates on Sunday in a huge result in this season's Premier League title race.

The Reds are still top of the league, but the Gunners have closed the gap to just two points after goals from Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard ensured victory.

After the full-time whistle, Martin Odegaard grabbed a camera and took pictures of the club's photographer in front of the Emirates crowd.

But the celebratory moment between Odegaard and the photographer didn't impress Carragher.

"Deary me," the Liverpool legend said on Sky Sports when reflecting on the celebrations.

"Just get down the tunnel, you've won a game, it's three points," he added. "You've been brilliant, they're back in the title race, get down the tunnel. I'm serious, honestly."

Arsenal fan Morgan ruthlessly hit out at Carragher on social media.

On X, he wrote: "Calm down, calm down, @Carra23 - we battered you, and we’re going to enjoy every second."

To which Carragher replied: "I nearly walked out the studio!"

Morgan fired back: "Your pain only adds to the joy."

Mikel Arteta was spotted mimicking Jurgen Klopp on the pitch as he praised his players after his side's win.

"It was an extraordinary game," he said. "An incredible performance from the players and our people. That’s the best atmosphere I’ve seen all season.

"We demanded that. We had to go to a different level and connect it again to the demands that this league has. I think the players left absolutely everything."

The Arsenal boss added: "They put their heart and soul in every single ball. I cannot be any prouder because I know how hard it is to beat this team, how much you have to suffer and how much you have to process to do what we did on the ball. So big thank you."
