Aaron Ramsdale's dad brutally responds to Jamie Carragher criticising his son, he didn't hold back

Aaron Ramsdale's dad brutally responds to Jamie Carragher criticising his son, he didn't hold back

Jamie Carragher slammed Aaron Ramsdale following Arsenal's draw against Tottenham.

Aaron Ramsdale's dad savagely hit out at Jamie Carragher following his criticism of the Arsenal goalkeeper after their draw against Tottenham.

The first North London derby of the new season ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Emirates.

Son Heung-min scored a brace as he cancelled out Cristian Romero's own-goal then Bukayo Saka's penalty in the second-half.

One of the main talking points before kick-off was the inclusion of David Raya in the starting XI as he made his third successive start following his move from Brentford.

He made his Arsenal debut against Everton and kept his place in the side when the Gunners opened their Champions League campaign against PSV Eindhoven.

And Mikel Arteta continued with the Spaniard for Sunday's clash.

In the first-half, Raya pulled off a stunning save, which Ramsdale applauded from the bench.

But the England's stopper's reaction didn't go down well with Carragher, who slammed the player's actions from the sidelines.

"You know when someone loses the Oscar and they’re clapping and smiling for the other person?" The Liverpool legend said on Sky Sports.

"I was laughing when I saw that. He’ll be absolutely devastated."

Ramsdale's dad, Nick, responded to Carragher's comments as he called him a 'disgrace' on social media.

Taking to X, he wrote: "You are a Disgrace!! Show some class!! My lad has."

Ramsdale's future has since been clouded by uncertainty after losing the No.1 spot and Carragher believes he will be thinking of leaving the club in January.

"I think he will be [leaving in January], if he got an opportunity at a decent club and Arsenal were happy with that," he added. "I think Arsenal will be looking at it and thinking they could get a few quid for him.

"You never have two goalkeepers at the same level at a club, especially top ‘keepers. Normally when that happens, it is because they are both not good enough and you can’t decide who you should be picking."
