Oldham Athletic have broken their silence after one of their players became embroiled in a poolside brawl in Ibiza earlier this week.
23-year-old forward Kian Harratt allegedly became embroiled in a poolside brawl at a hotel in San Antonio, Ibiza, earlier this week as footage emerged online.
The clip appeared to show Harratt throwing a chair, which then struck a woman who fell to the ground while other onlookers intervened.

The Daily Mail reported that he 'hurled a chair in the direction of a middle-aged woman who was trying to break up a brawl between his friends and another group of holidaymakers.'
One eyewitness named Brandon Watkins, from Nuneaton, described what he saw in a Facebook post.

“Five lads came to our hotel being nobs around the pool splashing people, throwing balls at women, and one lad says 'what are you looking at' so he approaches me and I drop him,” he said.

"They then start throwing chairs because they couldn't fight, and everyone knows how slippy it is round a pool, so stopping chairs hitting us, I slip in the pool and that's what went viral."
Watkins added: “If they let me get back out the pool or got in with me, then they would have been slapped again, but they didn't; they got kicked out. Everyone sat around the pool after was coming up to us, shaking our hands and buying us drinks because the lads were b******s."

Harratt later gave his take on what happened, explaining how he did not intend to hit the woman with the chair and only threw it in retaliation for it being thrown at him first.

The 23-year-old also described another man involved in the altercation, saying: "He was the worst man you could ever come across and a bully! He was 6'6 and built like a brick!"
Another witness, Kyle Crawford, claimed that he and his friends confronted Harratt and his pals as they were "being horrible” to a group of women and were "throwing little rugby balls" at other tourists.
Now, Harratt’s employer, Oldham, has explained that a “thorough investigation” will be carried out, according to the BBC.
A club spokesperson added it "strongly condemns violence of any kind".

"Until the outcome of that investigation, there will be no further comment," they said.
