Ex-Nottingham Forest Player Abruptly Walks Out of Live Sky Sports Interview

The player is currently without a club, having left Evangelos Marinakis' side at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

A former Nottingham Forest forward prematurely walked off the set live on Sky Sports just hours before Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked by the club.

It has been an eventful last day for those associated with Nottingham Forest, despite it currently being the international break.

At 12:15 am on Tuesday (September 9), the East Midlands side announced the departure of head coach Nuno despite the Portuguese leading them to European qualification with a seventh-place Premier League finish last season.

In a statement posted to the club’s website, Forest thanked the 51-year-old for his “contribution during a very successful era” but referred to “recent circumstances” as the reason for his departure.

Nuno’s exit comes less than a month after he admitted that his relationship with owner Evangelos Marinakis had “changed” in recent months.

It has also been widely reported that Nuno and Forest’s Global Head of Soccer Edu Gaspar did not see eye to eye on the club’s dealings in the summer transfer window.

Later on Tuesday, it was reported by The Athletic’s David Ornstein that former Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou is set to be appointed as Forest head coach despite recently being linked with both the Bayer Leverkusen and Fenerbahce jobs.

Postecoglou led Spurs to their first major trophy in 17 years when they defeated Manchester United in the Europa League final back in May, but was sacked just 16 days later after finishing 17th in the Premier League.

On Monday, Forest were also a trending topic on social media after a former player was involved in a comical moment live on Sky Sports.

Ex-Watford striker Emmanuel Dennis appeared on a live segment of the programme as he’s currently without a club after leaving Forest last summer.

Dennis, 27, made just 25 appearances for Forest between 2022 and 2025 and was loaned three times - to Watford, Istanbul Basaksehir and Blackburn Rovers.

The 27-year-old Nigerian spoke well during his appearance but seemingly was not told about the fact that guests must wait until the break before they exit the studio.

As the segment neared its conclusion, Sky’s host said: "Nice to chat to you and have you in the studio.

"Please come back again and see us when you're at your new club. We wish you well.”

“Thank you, Bye,” Dennis said before making a swift exit while the cameras were still running.

"Oh, he's gone,” the bemused presenter added.
