Neymar and Kylian Mbappe were involved in a cold exchange as the Brazilian said goodbye to Paris Saint-Germain following his move to Al Hilal.

The Saudi Pro League have acquired another superstar talent, with Al Hilal signing Neymar from PSG in a transfer worth £86.3 million.

It brings an end to his six-year spell in France as the player made 173 appearances for the club, scoring 118 goals.

His decision to leave PSG has swayed Mbappe's stance as he now looks set to remain at the club amid speculation linking him with Real Madrid.

Neymar has penned an extremely lucrative two-year deal with the Saudi Arabian side as he calls time on his career in Europe.

Speaking about his move to the Middle East, he hailed Cristiano Ronaldo's influence and said he's driven by challenges.

"I believe Cristiano Ronaldo started all of this and everybody called him 'crazy,' and this and that. Today, you see the league grow more and more," he explained.

"I am driven by challenges. Obviously, when you face a challenge like this it boosts your self-esteem. I am there to help the league grow more and more.

"They are already changing a lot; they have made a lot of signings. Yes, surely the league will be very competitive especially after the signings made in this summer transfer window."
