The top 10 highest salaries in world football have been revealed with Neymar set for huge pay increase

The highest-paid players in world football have been revealed following Neymar's blockbuster transfer to Al Hilal.

The Brazilian has joined the Saudi Pro League side from Paris Saint-Germain in a transfer worth £77.6 million, plus add-ons.

He joins the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante, among others, in leaving Europe for the Middle East.

Just like Ronaldo, Benzema and Kante, Neymar is on a huge wage package as French outlet Le Parisien claim the superstar forward will earn a salary of £86 million.

That's the same salary as former Leicester City and Chelsea midfielder Kante, who left the Premier League earlier this summer.

Al Nassr's Ronaldo and Al Ittihad's Benzema are the highest-paid stars in world football as both players earn a reported salary of £172 million.

Kylian Mbappe is the only player in the top ten that plies his trade in Europe. The 24-year-old earns a salary of £60 million at PSG.
