Aston Villa could launch bids for two World Cup stars, it is being reported, after Morgan Rogers agreed terms on a club-record transfer to Chelsea.
Rogers, who is still on England duty at the World Cup, was widely expected to leave Villa this summer despite their qualification for the Champions League.
He was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, with Gunners manager Mikel Arteta said to be personally driving his club's pursuit.
His contract at Villa still has four years left to run, meaning Unai Emery's side are under no financial pressure to sell.

And according to The Athletic, Chelsea have agreed to pay a staggering club-record fee of £117 million to sign Rogers.
The 23-year-old is said to have agreed personal terms on a six-year contract with the option of an additional year, with a medical scheduled for Monday.
Villa have already lost Youri Tielemans to Manchester United after his release clause of £35 million was triggered earlier this week.
And left-back Lucas Digne is expected to sign for Paris Saint-Germain when the World Cup ends.
But Villa have been active in the transfer market, signing Switzerland wonderkid Johan Manzambi for around £52 million - and now have two names on their shortlist to replace Rogers.
Villa target World Cup duo
It is reported that Emery's side are keen on signing Netherlands winger Crysencio Summerville, who has recently been relegated to the Championship with West Ham.
Hammers captain Jarrod Bowen has agreed a revised contract to stay at the London Stadium, but the same cannot be said for Summerville.

Tuttomercatoweb report that the 24-year-old winger has agreed to sign for Roma for a fee of €46 million, though the deal has not yet gone through.
Although Netherlands were dumped out of the World Cup at the round of 32 stage by Morocco, Summerville impressed by scoring two goals and registering two assists in four appearances.
Villa are also said to be interested in signing PSG winger Ibrahim Mbaye.
The 18-year-old became the youngest African goalscorer in World Cup history when he netted for Senegal in their 3-1 group stage defeat to France, which was also his tournament debut.

Mbaye made 29 appearances in all competitions for PSG last season as they won Ligue 1 and the Champions League, though was an unused substitute in the European final against Arsenal.
The winger is battling for a place in the PSG side with the likes of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue and Bradley Barcola, and may decide a move away is his best opportunity for regular first team football.
That now appears to be the case, with Fabrizio Romano reporting earlier this month that Mbaye had enlisted the services of super-agent Jorge Mendes to seal a transfer.
The Senegal international is also being linked with a move to Manchester City, with clubs in the Bundesliga also said to be keen.
City splashed out £116 million on the signing of Elliot Anderson earlier this month, with Rogers set to overtake him as the most expensive British footballer in the world should his move to Chelsea be completed.
He would reunite with Cole Palmer, who he played alongside in Manchester City's academy, as well as centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo.
