A stunning swap deal scenario between Manchester United and Barcelona has seemingly emerged and Marcus Rashford holds the key to it coming to fruition.
Rashford joined Barca from Man United on a season-long loan during the summer transfer window.
The agreed loan includes an option to make the move a permanent transfer for around £26 million.
As things stand, Barca are ready to take up the permanent option in Rashford's loan, although there is still some debate over the fee due to the club's financial situation.

He has impressed his new team, having scored his first goals against Newcastle United in the Champions League, before registering his first La Liga goal in Sunday's 4-1 defeat to Sevilla.
Barca will aim to strike a deal with Man United for Rashford when the summer transfer window reopens.

They could add Marc-Andre ter Stegen into talks given the Red Devils' interest in the goalkeeper.

Ruben Amorim is hellbent on recruiting a new goalkeeper despite signing Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp.
Lammens, who cost £18.1 million, made his debut in their 2-0 victory over Sunderland last weekend.
Man United offloaded Andre Onana as a result and are still on the hunt for another goalkeeper, with Ter Stegen on their radar, according to Spanish outlet SPORT.
If Barca opt to sign Rashford, then that could pave the way for Ter Stegen to go the other way.

Ter Stegen, 33, has made 422 appearances across all competitions for Barca but he has been displaced as the club's No.1 following the signing of Joan Garcia coupled with the German's back injury that required surgery.
Needless to say, he has yet to play this campaign, having played just nine games last season.
Ter Stegen, who has 44 international caps to his name, has won six La Liga titles and the Champions League during his time at Barca.

Man United aren't the only Premier League team keeping tabs on his situation as Newcastle United and Tottenham are also keen on taking the veteran stopper.
