Manchester United fans think Ruben Amorim may have revealed his future plans amid rumours he could be sacked in the coming weeks.
On Wednesday evening, Amorim suffered what was perhaps the worst loss of his United career as League Two side Grimsby Town knocked his side of the Carabao Cup in the second round.
Although the majority of Premier League sides are not set to play in the competition in the third round, United had to play one more fixture after they failed to qualify for a European competition.
Once they were drawn against Grimsby Town many fans assumed that they would easily make it to the next round but, despite coming back from being 2-0 down, United lost the match following a dramatic penalty shootout.

Shortly after the defeat, United boss Amorim spoke with the media in a damning interview that has left fans thinking he may be considering his future at the club.
After every player in the squad had taken a penalty, new signing Bryan Mbeumo failed to convey his second in the shootout, leading to Grimsby coming away with a 12-11 win, sealing their place in the third round.
Speaking after the match, Amorim admitted that the best team won the fixture while making some worrying comments about how his side will come back from the result.

But one comment in particular stood out to fans, leading to some taking to social media to suggest that he might be considering leaving the club in the near future.
He said: "My players spoke really loud for me today. We have a game on the weekend and then two weeks international break. We are going to sort it then."
Reacting to the comment, one fan wrote on X: "Very much sounded like he believes he’s lost the dressing room."

Another added: "Amorim is going to walk after the Burnley game. He’s a defeated man that’s been let down by his players."
While one suggested: "Do the right thing. Good manager, just not in England. Bring in Ole, get the season finished. Sort it out in the summer. In the summer bring in Oliver Glasner."
United welcome newly-promoted Burnley to Old Trafford in their final Premier League fixture before the two-week international break.
