Roy Keane makes brutal prediction for Liverpool vs Man Utd game and he didn't hold back one bit

"If Liverpool are at their best, they will hammer United. They will hammer them."

Roy Keane has delivered a no-nonsense prediction for Sunday's Premier League clash between Liverpool and Manchester United – and he's fearing for worst for his former club.

Liverpool will be hoping to extend their lead at the Premier League summit to eight points with victory over United, who have lost their last four games in all competitions.

In fact, United are currently in a fight to avoid relegation after their recent 2-0 defeat to Newcastle, according to Ruben Amorim.

"It is also my fault," the United head coach said on Monday. "The team is not improving. It is a little bit lost in this moment and it is a bit embarrassing to be Manchester United coach and lose a lot of games."

Amorim added that people are "tired of excuses" ahead of the game against Liverpool, which will no doubt prove one of their biggest tests to date this season.

So who will come out on top? Well, United will get hammered if Liverpool are at their sparkling best, according to Roy Keane, who was on punditry duty for Sunday afternoon's game at Anfield.

When asked if they should change the way they go about things against Liverpool, the former midfielder didn't hold back.

"They are going to have to," began Keane. "If they keep doing what they've been doing over the last month or two, Liverpool will beat them easy. I know people say, 'Oh you never know in football because of the history of the fixture' but if they keep doing it, they're going to get ripped apart."

Keane added: "I'm worried about the players who don't want to run. You've got to run in this game. The strength of Liverpool, and how they mix their game up in terms of playing in between the lines... the way they attack teams is fantastic.

"If Liverpool are at their best, they will hammer United. They will hammer them. It was 7-0 two years ago, I fear for it again. But if United turn up with a bit more belief... can they get that from the dressing room and create a spark?

"The one little bit of hope is that, three of four weeks ago, they went to City and dug a result out. They let them off the hook. But they're going to need a lot of luck today."

"My goodness, they're so bad..." 😮

As you can see from the footage above, Keane also reacted to United's results under Amorim.

"When you look at the stats... my goodness, they're so bad," he said alongside fellow pundit Daniel Sturridge in the Sky studio. "There has been literally no reaction from the players [since Amorim joined] which is a big concern."
