Man Utd forward Rasmus Hojlund tells Danish media where he will play his football next season

Rasmus Hojlund has been linked with a move away from Manchester United this summer.

Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund has told Danish media where he will play his football next season.

Hojlund has been the subject of intense transfer speculation following a drab campaign in front of goal last season.

He scored 10 goals in 52 matches, including a measly four goals in the Premier League and failed to impress during Man United's post-season tour of Asia.

Despite his performances for Man United last season, plenty of teams are thought to be keeping tabs on his situation ahead of making a potential offer.

A number of Serie A clubs are believed to be interested in bringing him back to Italy, having played for Atalanta, where he scored 10 goals in his only season at the club.

But Hojlund has told Danish media that he expects to play for Man United next season.

"I have a contract until 2030, so I expect to play for Manchester United," he told Bold.

Hojlund, who started Denmark's 2-1 win over Northern Ireland on Saturday, added: "I'm looking forward to going on a summer vacation, and then I'm fully dedicated to the project that's underway.

"I know I can't get much out of reading things. I know what the facts are, and that is that I have a contract with Manchester United until 2030.

"I expect to play there, so I'm just getting ready for some summer vacation and then hopefully a good pre-season."

The 22-year-old cost Man United a whopping £72 million in the summer of 2023.

He showed promise in his debut campaign at the club, scoring 16 goals across all competitions.

However, his form has regressed, having endured a tough campaign last season.

Ruben Amorim is hellbent on snapping up a new No.9 to fix his side's issues in attack, having already recruited Matheus Cunha from Wolves.

Hojlund appears to be deemed surplus to requirements as the Red Devils have been linked with the likes of Victor Osimhen, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Viktor Gyokeres, who played with Amorim at Sporting CP.
