The transfer market giveth and the transfer market taketh away, and Manchester United are on the cusp of a big boost that could help their summer plans along.
Man Utd head coach Ruben Amorim has been unable to correct the Red Devils' course in a dismal Premier League season but could be 90 minutes away from a place in next season's Champions League.
If United beat Tottenham Hotspur in Wednesday's Europa League final in Bilbao, they will become an attractive prospect for potential new signings despite their growing reputation for being a bit of a bin fire.

With Rasmus Hojlund, Joshua Zirkzee and just about everybody else misfiring, Amorim needs goals.
According to increasingly frequent reports, United want Wolverhampton Wanderers star Matheus Cunha and Ipswich Town's Liam Delap to come in and score them.
It's been widely reported that the Red Devils have the financial wiggle room to bring in both Cunha and Delap without the need to sell first, but a transfer between two different clubs entirely could give them the means to add a third blockbuster summer buy.

Reports in Spain claim that Real Madrid and Benfica are discussing a deal for the Lisbon club's 22-year-old left-back Alvaro Carreras, with a fee of €40 to €50 million expected to be confirmed.
According to AS, that would mean a payment of €18 million to United, who sold Carreras to Benfica last year with a healthy sell-on clause in the agreement.
AS reports that Carreras and Real Madrid have already agreed terms.
Galicia-born Carreras joined United from Los Blancos as a teenager, completing his youth education in Manchester but never making a Premier League appearance.

But the details of his departure from Old Trafford could mean a third major signing is possible without another sale and Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo is next on the list, claims Spanish outlet Fichajes.
The 24-year-old has impressed since joining the Cherries from Bristol City, emerging as a constant attacking threat with a dangerous cutting edge in Andoni Iraola's attack.
Semenyo moved to the south coast in January 2023 and has scored a total of 18 goals in 79 league appearances for the Dorset club.

United probably need to beat Spurs on Wednesday to pull off three such huge signings in the summer transfer window.
If they can, their ability to perform a much-needed rebuild will be greatly increased.
