Mark Goldbridge has issued a warning to warning to Manchester United’s fans about the club’s ‘latest signing’.

Goldbridge – real name Brent Di Cesare – regularly offers his opinion on all things Manchester United and has claimed he can spot a ‘trend’ regarding transfers since INEOS gained control of football operations in February 2024.

And United fans have voiced their excitement at the prospect of promising 18-year-old defender Ayden Heaven joining the club.

The London-born England Under-19 international joined West Ham United's academy when he was just eight years old in 2015 before he joined Arsenal.

He penned a scholarship contract with the Gunners in 2023 and made his first-team debut in a Carabao Cup tie against Preston North End in October 2024.

According to reports from The Athletic, Heaven attended the 2-1 win against Rangers at Old Trafford last Thursday and “United are close to an agreement with Arsenal for a modest fee, due to his scholarship terms expiring in the summer".

Journalist Fabrizio Romano also issued an update on Heaven’s proposed move on Tuesday morning.

"Ayden Heaven to Manchester United, here we go!" Romano wrote on X. “Exclusive story from last week confirmed as 18-year-old centre back’s set to leave Arsenal and join MUFC.

“Medical booked after he rejected new deal from Arsenal and Eintracht approaches. Agreement being formally sealed.”

And fans in the comment section gave their take on the potential transfer.

One said: “He's talented, but he isn't currently Premier League level. It's like Chido Obi Martin, he's good but not close to breaking into the first team.”

Another added: “This transfer highlights the importance of youth development and the fierce competition for emerging talents in modern football.”

While a third commented: “It’s positive we’re investing in promising talent for the future but we DESPERATELY need some good players today!”

However, Goldbridge was less than positive and revealed exactly what he thinks.

"People getting excited about United signing another talented teenager from Arsenal," Goldbridge posted to X. "Not realising that in 3 years we'll be selling him back for profit. Open your Eyes.

"GLINEOS have found a new way to make money. Selling young players for profit."
