Man Utd fans think they know who their next signing is as INEOS prepare to sanction £15 million sale

West Ham are in advanced talks with the United defender, according to reports.

Many expected a busy summer of recruitment when Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS acquired a 25 per cent minority stake in Manchester United – and they haven't disappointed in that regard.

United have already completed their first signing of the summer in Joshua Zirkzee; the 23-year-old forward who has arrived from Serie A side Bologna for around £36.5 million.

Zirkzee may be followed by Lille centre-back Leny Yoro, who is expected to undergo a medical and finalise personal terms after an agreement for an initial €62 million (£52m] fee was reached last week.

United continue to be linked with moves for Matthijs de Ligt, Manuel Ugarte and Jarrad Branthwaite, to name just a few, but it appears another arrival will depend on departures.

Step forward, Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

West Ham are said to be in 'advanced talks' with United over a summer move for the 26-year-old full-back, five years after he joined from Crystal Palace for £50 million.

On this occasion, United are willing to sell Wan-Bissaka for a fee of over £15 million, according to talkSPORT.

With speculation rife over Wan-Bissaka's future at Old Trafford, fans are already discussing a potential replacement for the Croydon-born right-back.

Back in April, German publication BILD reported that United had 'intensified contact' to sign Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong.

In fact, BILD journalist Christian Falk said in his Fact Files column that United had registered their interest in Frimpong and his management were already in 'concrete talks' with the club.

It is thought that any deal for the Netherlands international could hinge on whether Wan-Bissaka made a swift exit this summer – and it appears that could well happen in the near future.

Whether United will move for Frimpong in the coming weeks remains unclear, but plenty of fans are keen after he impressed for Bayer Leverkusen last season.

One said: "Hearing Aaron Wan Bissaka will leave for West Ham, we are moving fast in all directions. Frimpong to United then???"

A second wrote: "Frimpong is the perfect player for Manchester United," while another commented: "Jeremie Frimpong for Wan Bissaka is what will make Manchester United fans happy."

A fourth added: "I’m feeling so happy. Yoro is signing for United as we speak, Wan Bissaka to West Ham is close... this can only mean one thing……..Jeremie Frimpong. He’s so good and would make an impact."

The 23-year-old notched 14 goals and 12 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions for Leverkusen last season as they secured a historic domestic double.
