Man Utd immediately transfer list shock player following Europa League final defeat

Manchester United have made a big decision following their Europa League final heartbreak.

Manchester United have made a player who started the Europa League final available for transfer this summer, according to stunning reports.

Man United suffered a devastating 1-0 defeat to Tottenham in the Europa League final on Wednesday.

It has compounded a miserable season as Ruben Amorim's side have endured a woeful Premier League campaign as they sit in 16th place in the table.

Their defeat to Spurs means Man United won't compete in any European competition next season.

The Europa League final heartbreak will also change their transfer plans this summer when they look to recruit new talent.

As well as incomings, the Red Devils are also set to offload several players, including Rasmus Hojlund.

That's according to the Manchester Evening News, who claim Hojlund will be made available for transfer this summer.

Hojlund started Wednesday's Europa League final against Spurs but failed to influence the game.

He has scored just four league goals this season as he has endured a tough campaign.

Man United seem set to sanction the forward's sale this summer, having joined the Old Trafford outfit from Atalanta for £72 million in the summer of 2023.

The club have been linked with a host of forwards as they look to replace the 22-year-old Dane ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Ipswich Town's Liam Delap and Napoli's Victor Osimhen, who is on loan at Galatasaray, are among the forwards on Man United's transfer wish-list.

Speaking after last night's defeat, Amorim revealed that Man United had been planning for life without Champions League football as they head into the summer transfer window.

"We have two plans for the market and we have to understand it is tough for a club like ours not to be in the Champions League," he said. "But we have to use the other side. We have more time to work during the week on the Premier League and that will be our focus."
