Manchester United have 'registered interest' in signing a world-class goalkeeper to replace Andre Onana - in what would be one of the biggest surprises of the summer window.
United have already completed their first summer transfer under Ruben Amorim, with Matheus Cunha arriving from Wolves for a fee of £62.5 million.
The Athletic report that they are set to bid for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo after the Cameroon international indicated his desire to join the club.

And United were handed a major boost on Tuesday morning when club captain Bruno Fernandes rejected a big-money contract from Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal.
Their next task appears to be to sign a new goalkeeper, with Onana linked with a move away after a difficult second season between the sticks at Old Trafford.
The Cameroon international made several high-profile errors during the campaign, mainly in the Europa League.

According to French outlet Foot Mercato, United have registered interest in signing PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma amid a contract 'standoff' with his current club.
The 26-year-old was a star performer in PSG's Champions League success this campaign and was named in the UEFA Team of the Season as a result of his performances.
Any idea of the Italian leaving the club, therefore, would almost be unthinkable, but Foot Mercato report that he is yet to sign a new contract. His existing deal runs out next summer.

However, Get French Football News have reported that there is 'optimism' that Donnarumma will stay at the club, even though he would be required to likely accept a cut in line with other players given his previous deal was signed under a 'old regime'.
Should a deal not go through, Bayern Munich, United and Manchester City are among the clubs said to be interested in signing him instead during the summer transfer window.
