Andre Onana has reportedly already made a decision on his Manchester United future, just months after leaving the club to join Trabzonspor on loan in Turkey.

After two error-strewn seasons at Old Trafford, the Cameroonian goalkeeper departed during the summer transfer window.

He lost his number one spot to Altay Bayindir in the opening weeks of the season before a dreadful performance in the Carabao Cup defeat at Grimsby.

That match proved to be Onana's final appearance for United before his loan move.

Trabzonspor have made a strong start to the season and currently sit third in the league, behind Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.

But Onana's loan spell ends next summer, at which point he will return to Manchester United, where he remains under contract until 2028.

Although many supporters believe he has already played his last match for the club, The i Paper has reported that Onana still has aspirations of reclaiming the number one jersey.

To do, he would have to take over from Senne Lammens, who has yet to taste defeat since making his debut at the start of November.

Sources close to Onana acknowledge that replacing Lammens may be a difficult task and have not ruled out the possibility of a transfer to another Premier League club.

There is also reportedly interest from teams in France, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Andre Onana's next club

Onana's Manchester United future was uncertain from the start of pre-season, when a hamstring injury ruled him out of the club's US tour.

Head coach Ruben Amorim was also reportedly frustrated by Onana's demands to increase his salary, which had been cut from £170,000 per week to £120,000 per week, following United's failure to qualify for the Champions League.

The Athletic has noted that Onana has people who depend on him in Cameroon, adding a financial aspect to his next choice of club.

Given that, a move to Saudi Arabia appears to be the most likely transfer.

Several former Premier League stars made the switch last summer, including Joao Felix from Chelsea and ex Liverpool attacker Darwin Nunez.

Within the Premier League, West Ham United could be a potential destination.

Both Alphonso Areola and summer signing Mads Hermansen have been given opportunities, but neither goalkeeper has firmly established themselves as the first choice.

In Europe, Inter Milan, Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen have all been rumoured as potential suitors, while a move to the MLS has also been suggested.

Although Onana's next move remains uncertain, a return to Manchester United still seems unlikely.
